Band Camp Phase II & Early August Happenings
We had a great week of Band Camp Phase I! Phase II continues with Tuesday and Thursday evening rehearsals the next couple of weeks, wrapping up with our March-a-thon and "Meet the Band Night" preview performance and picnic on Aug. 18th!

Wednesday, Aug. 15th - 1st Day of Classes for 9th Grade
Thursday, Aug 16th - 1st Day of Classes for 10th-12th Grades
Thursday, Aug. 16th - 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Friday, Aug. 17th - First 7am Marching Band Practice
Saturday, Aug. 18th - March-a-thon & Meet the Band Night Preview & Picnic
8am to ~10am -- Turn in March-a-thon money and take group, section, and individual photos.
~10am to 12pm -- March-a-thon Rehearsal
12pm to 1pm -- Lunch
1pm to 5pm -- March-a-thon Rehearsal
6pm -- Meet the Band Night Preview Performance and Picnic

On the morning of our March-a-thon (Aug. 18th) we will be taking professional full band photos, section photos, and there will be an opportunity for students to take an individual photo in their uniform. MARCH-A-THON PLEDGES
Be reaching out to family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. to obtain pledges for our March-a-thon! This is our biggest fundraiser for our BOA St. Louis trip. We have a goal of each student raising at least $200. Make it a personal goal to reach out to at least 3-5 people each day! Remember to share your excitement for this marching season and BOA competition!

DCI FINALS WATCH PARTY
Drum Corps Internationals will present the Top 12 drum corps LIVE from Indianapolis. Olathe South will be hosting a watch party. The school will open at 5pm and corps begin performing. They are asking for a $1 or $2 donation to offset the live feed cost. See the flier below!
