Solo & Ensemble Registration
Final registration for solo and ensemble is right around the corner. Students planning to participate in a solo performance MUST complete the following steps by Friday, March 2.
1. Complete a solo registration form (available in the band office) and turn it in to Mr. Love.
- For this form, you must indicate the name of your accompanist. If you have not yet secured an accompanist you must do so before turning in the form. See Mr. Love / Mr. McCarty if you need assistance.
2. Bring $10 in cash or a check / money order payable to F.A.M.E.
Students participating in an Ensemble need to verify their participating to Mr. Love by March 2 as well. Please also indicate any potential conflicts with the ACT exam so that we can request an afternoon time.
A reminder that the Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival is held on Saturday, April 14 at Olathe South High School.
Parents: While the event is held at Olathe South, the music programs for Olathe, Blue Valley, and Shawnee Mission are responsible for hosting the event, and we are to provide several parent volunteers to serve as door monitors and judge assistants (pencil holders and coffee getters) to make this even a great experience for your students. Even if you do not have a student participating, please consider volunteering your time - it is an easy way to help out! Please see the link below to sign-up for a volunteer spot.
